Wednesday Weekly Meditation and Talk with Caverly Morgan

Wednesday Weekly Meditation and Talk with Caverly Morgan

Much research has shown that meditation is one of the very best ways to cultivate the brain states of self-awareness, calm and inner peace, lovingkindness, mindfulness, and happiness – as well as strengthen the immune system and nurture other health benefits.

Join guest teacher Caverly Morgan for a live-streamed weekly meditation, talk, and discussion. Caverly Morgan is a spiritual teacher, non-profit founder, speaker, and writer who blends the original spirit of Zen with a modern nondual approach. She is the author of The Heart of Who We Are: Realizing Freedom Together as well as A Kids Book About Mindfulness. Caverly is the founder of Peace in Schools, a nonprofit that created the nation’s first for-credit mindfulness class in public high schools. Her practice began in 1995 and has included eight years of training in a silent Zen monastery.  She has been teaching contemplative practice since 2001. Caverly leads meditation retreats, workshops, and online classes internationally. Learn more at caverlymorgan.org.

These teachings are offered freely, at no charge. And if you like, you may wish to participate in the age-old tradition of generosity through making an offering yourself – called “dāna” – to support Caverly and Rick’s Wednesday Meditations. Generosity itself is a beautiful practice that opens and gladdens the heart, relaxes the contraction of “self,” and ripples out into the world to touch many people – and perhaps, eventually, even oneself.
