Get Powerful, Practical Tools to:
Recognize and heal attachment wounds from your past

Create more satisfying, secure connections in all areas of life
This Course Will Cover:
Fundamentals of Attachment Theory
- A profile of attachment styles, particularly insecure-avoidant and insecure-anxious
- How outcomes are affected by temperament, health issues, poverty, racism, and peers—not just caregivers
- “Object relations”—how we create paradigms, models, scripts of relationships
Insight Into Your Own Style
- What each of the styles feel like on the inside
- Approaching your own tendencies, relationship issues and past with compassion—instead of blame
- Identifying your behaviors and strategies that may feel self-evident and necessary, but may actually create trouble in your relationships
Taking in the Good and Healing
- Hopeful research and antidotes that illustrate that we really can heal how we’ve been understandably affected by our childhoods
- Introduction to the HEAL process: internalizing experiences of what you needed as a child
- Identifying your own key “psychologial nutrients”
- Recognizing and working through fears of internalizing these
Problem-Solving in Relationships
- Common problems in relationships when one—or both!—are insecurely attached.
- What it’s like for others—partners, colleagues, parents, adult kids, siblings, friends, bosses, etc.—to be with someone who is avoidant-insecure or avoidant-anxious

Is this a self-paced series, or do I need to watch it at a specific time?
This course will take place over 5 weeks, starting June 13th. Participants will receive weekly emails with the materials that we’re focusing on each week (which you can watch on your own schedule during that week). There will also be 2 live sessions with Rick – on June 16th and June 30th at 12pm PT. If you cannot attend those sessions with Rick, you will be able to watch the recordings.
Additionally, there will be weekly live practice groups that are optional, but we do hope you’ll join one as participants who are in practice groups get a lot more out of the course. Practice group sessions will not be recorded.
The main course material recordings are available to watch at any time for anyone who has registered for the program – so if our 5-week schedule doesn’t work for you, you can take the course at your own pace.
Is this program for everyone?
The Healing Insecure Attachment workshop is an educational workshop for the general public.
This workshop is not psychotherapy, nor treatment for any physical or mental health condition. Participants take responsibility for their own experience in the workshop.
The Healing Insecure Attachment workshop could be a useful resource for normal range experiences of anxiety, blue mood, stress, loneliness, and interpersonal conflicts, including for people in psychotherapy for these concerns.
If you are engaging in psychotherapy while engaging this workshop, please tell your therapist.
Last, if you have serious psychological issues or a history of suicidality, complex trauma, psychosis, or other severe mental health issues, you should consider not participating in this workshop as it could stir things up for you without there being the option of individual support – and we strongly advise that you seek professional treatment.
What if I need to cancel after I've registered?
No worries, just send us an email at rick@rickhanson.net and we’ll process your cancellation and refund within 2 business days
When does the 30-day money-back guarantee end?
The 30-day money-back guarantee is good for 30 days from the time you register for the workshop.
Are there scholarships available?
For those who are genuinely unable to pay for the workshop – which could include people who are unemployed, disabled, students, on a small fixed income or public assistance, or living in a developing country – there are full and half scholarships available.
Can I get Continuing Education Credits?
This programwill be eligible for 4 CE homestudy Credits (for an additional $50) from Being Well, Inc., a continuing education provider approved by the American Psychological Association (APA). We suggest checking with your licensing board to ensure that they’ll accept credits from APA-approved providers prior to purchasing or submitting the credits. More information coming soon.
