There is so much going on, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the state of the world. From wars and political divisiveness to climate change and natural disasters, the challenges we face can leave us feeling powerless, anxious, or unsure of how to help. The sheer scale of suffering can lead to emotional fatigue, a sense of helplessness, or even apathy.
In this talk, guest teacher Dr. Roger Walsh shares practical tips to transform overwhelm into clarity, compassion, and purposeful action. Learn how global crises often mirror collective psychological and spiritual dysfunctions, and how meaningful change begins with how we respond—both internally and externally.
Through guided reflection and practical wisdom, Roger talks about:
- How to cultivate resilience and reduce reactivity in the face of suffering.
- How to align your unique strengths with actions that make a meaningful impact.
- How contemplative practices, like mindfulness and karma yoga, can turn everyday actions into opportunities for healing and growth.
This is an invitation to step into your power, contribute meaningfully, and find joy and purpose in the process—even in challenging times.
