Face Fears Without Overwhelm

Use gentle exposure techniques to reclaim the parts of your life anxiety has taken over, expanding your world at a pace that feels safe and empowering.

From Overwhelmed to Empowered

Anxiety doesn’t just show up in your thoughts — it shapes your choices, your relationships, and the way you experience the world. This course will help you shift from fear-driven habits to calm, confidence, and strength you can feel in your body.

Here’s what that transformation could look like:

FROM: Feeling on edge all the time

Your mind keeps scanning for what could go wrong, even on a normal day. Your body stays tight, your breath is shallow. Stress feels like your default setting — and you’re tired of bracing for impact.

TO: Feeling safer and steadier inside yourself

You learn to calm your body quickly, soothe your nervous system, and create a sense of internal safety and real release that doesn’t depend on your circumstances.

FROM: Getting stuck in worst-case thinking

Your mind jumps straight to “what if,” spinning stories that feel real even when they aren’t. Small concerns become big threats, and logic isn’t enough to quiet the noise.

TO: Seeing Clearly and Responding with Confidence

You learn to spot distortions, challenge scary thoughts, and rebuild trust in your ability to cope. You start responding to life instead of reacting to fear.

FROM: Avoiding things you want because of fear

You hold back from opportunities, conversations, risks, or experiences because your anxiety tells you you’re not ready — or not capable. Avoidance shrinks your world and keeps reinforcing the fear.

TO: Taking small, brave steps that expand your world

You learn gentle, step-by-step ways to approach what you’ve been avoiding so challenges feel doable instead of overwhelming. Tiny wins stack up, fear loses its power, and your world grows again.

FROM: Feeling anxious, insecure, or misunderstood in your relationships

You worry about saying the wrong thing, being too much, or not being enough. You replay conversations, assume others are upset, or hold back your needs to avoid conflict.

TO: Feeling more secure, seen, and steady with the people who matter most

You communicate more clearly, set healthier boundaries, and trust that you can handle difficult moments with calm. Connection feels safer, more open, and more satisfying — without sacrificing who you are.

Hi, I'm Dr. Rick Hanson.

I’ve been a clinical psychologist for over 40 years, working with people who feel worried, tense, or overwhelmed by the demands of daily life. In my practice and teaching, I’ve seen how anxiety can hold good people back from opportunities, connection, and ease.

And these days, anxiety is understandable. We’re living in a time of real pressure — financial stress, health uncertainties, political conflict, climate concerns, and the ongoing strain of caring for others. It makes sense that many people feel on edge.

At the same time, our brains are built to detect threats quickly — sometimes too quickly. Even when there’s no real danger, the nervous system can stay on high alert, keeping us stuck in old patterns of fear and tension.

That’s why I created Rewire Your Anxious Brain.
People need tools that are credible, compassionate, and grounded in science — practices that help the body settle, the mind steady, and the whole person grow more resilient over time.

My hope is simple: that you come away with real skills, a clearer understanding of your mind, and genuine confidence that you can handle what life brings — not perfectly, but steadily, and with far less fear.

If you’ve been feeling anxious, discouraged, or at the mercy of your thoughts, you’re not alone — and there truly is a path forward. I’d be honored to walk it with you.

Answers to Common Questions:

How much time will this take each week?

It all depends on how much you want to put into this program. If you're going all-in (which we suggest for real change!), plan on 3 hours per week:

  • 1-hour session with Rick
  • 1-hour discussion group session
  • 1 hour of short practices spread throughout the week.
Is it just for people with severe anxiety?

Not at all. If you feel occasional worry, tension, or difficulty concentrating you’ll still benefit — the tools apply broadly.

Is this program for everyone?

The Rewire Your Anxious Brain intensive is an educational program for the general public. It is not psychotherapy, nor treatment for any physical or mental health condition. Participants take responsibility for their own experience in the program. The program could be a useful resource for normal range experiences of anxiety, stress, and interpersonal issues, including for people in psychotherapy for these concerns. If you are engaging in psychotherapy while engaging this program, please tell your therapist. Last, if you have serious psychological issues or a history of suicidality, complex trauma, psychosis, or other severe mental health issues, you should consider not participating in this program as it could stir things up for you without there being the option of individual support – and we strongly advise that you seek professional treatment.

Is this a self-paced series, or do I need to watch it at a specific time?

This series is meant to be taken over 12 weeks, starting on January 24th. Our hope is that you follow along with the teachings each week, to experience maximum benefit.

However, all of the sessions with Rick will be recorded, and you will have lifetime access to them.

Note: The discussion group sessions will not be recorded, so you will need to attend them live if you wish to utilize discussion groups.

Can I get Continuing Education Credits?

This program is eligible for 12 CE homestudy Credits (for an additional $50) from Being Well, Inc., a continuing education provider approved by the American Psychological Association (APA). You can check with your licensing board that they’ll accept credits from APA-approved providers.

More info to come.

What if I need to cancel after I've registered?

No worries, just send us an email at rick@rickhanson.net and we’ll process your cancellation and refund within 2 business days

When does the 30-day money-back guarantee end?

The 30-day money-back guarantee is good until February 24, 2026.

Are there scholarships available?

For those who are genuinely unable to pay for this course– which could include people who are unemployed, disabled, students, on a small fixed income or public assistance, or living in a developing country – there are full and half scholarships available.
