Many of us are feeling a lot right now—overwhelm, frustration, sadness, or even disgust—about things happening in our world.
So in this talk, I offer a space to reflect on those very real feelings and understand where they come from and what we can do with them.
Disgust is a normal, human emotion. It can arise in personal situations with family or at work, as well as with broader societal issues. While disgust might signal something that deeply matters to us, it’s a powerful force that we have to handle with care. If we’re not mindful, it can narrow our perspective and even harm our relationships.
In this talk, I explore ways to recognize and work with these intense emotions constructively. You’ll learn practical steps to manage disgust mindfully—keeping a moral view without letting it dominate or disconnect us from others.
So, if you’re feeling disheartened by what’s happening around you or within you, I invite you to lean into this practice. Together, we’ll examine how we can hold both compassion and resolve, creating space for kindness even in the face of challenging feelings.
We hope you’ll find this talk and meditation clarifying, empowering, and maybe even a little freeing.
